Xander's Baptism

We decided with the other Ross family that we would baptize Xander and Tommy together since they are only two weeks apart in age.  Plus we have tons of family that live out of town and they would only have to travel once.  Since we were going to have three families to feed (literally around fifty people) we decide we had better find somewhere to have a luncheon.  Our houses wouldn't have fit that kind of volume.  We live in Utah so even though we are three blocks from Laron and Laura and we are in the same stake we are in different wards and different buildings.  The Baptisms were taking place at the stake center, which happens to be Laron and Laura's building so Steven and I went through the hassle of reserving our building.

The Tuesday before at nine night we received a phone call that there had been a death and they needed our building for the funeral. Bah!  It's actually really sad a six year old girl had passed away from the flu.  Of course we gave up the building but then the stress really stared while we tried to find somewhere else to go.  I finally just called one of the other buildings in our stake and they said we could use their building but not the gym because there was a basketball game scheduled....seriously?  We went up and set everything up in the Relief Society room which wasn't entirely ideal but we made it work.  The best part is no one ever showed up to play basketball.

I can't believe these boys are eight.  I can still remember when they were born.  They are so close and so much fun.

Brothers are a tad icky

But only for a minute, they really do love each other

OK so I feel like there is an excessive amount of photo bombing going on in the next three pictures.

Ryan's a jerk!

This is the cake Laura's mom got the boys.  It was very good!

It was a super stressful week and I am really glad we don't have to do it again for four years.  But I am grateful Xander made the decision to be Baptized.
