#1 Go To Disneyland!!! Day One.

My inlaws were kind enough to send us some money to help us get this goal accomplished.  We haven't been to California in about three years, and Disneyland in about six.  We took Xander when he was about 2 1/2 so he doesn't really remember anything.  I like to joke with him that he's actually been twice already because his first trip was when I was pregnant with him.  Everyone was super excited.  Steven even pulled up the maps online so we could make a step by step plan for our days there. 

We are waiting for the park to open.  I found out by reading some blogs before we went that even though the park doesn't open until nine, they open Main Street at eight and they will allow you to go as far as the Walt Disney statue.  They make a big annoucement over the loud speakers that Disneyland is now open and everyone walks through the castle together, it was really neat.  On a side note Paizley was super excited about a duck that was wandering around on the patch of grass behind us.

First thing we walked through Sleeping Beauty's castle.  You can actally walk up inside the castle now.  There are windows that leads you through the Sleeping Beauty movie.  I was a little disapointed because it is really dark inside and it scared Paizley a little so I ended up carrying her.

We decided a head of time that we weren't going to follow our usually ADD tendencies in Disneyland to run all over the park to hit all the big rides.  We did one land at a time and rode everything there.  Here we are waiting in line for the Peter Pan ride.

I told Paizley to make a pirate face and this is what she came up with.  I didn't get a picture of it but Xander decieded he wanted to spend some of his money on one of these swords.  We put it in the stroller so we could ride the Jungle Cruise and see the Tiki Room.  When we came back someone had totally stolen it!!  Come on people it's Disneyland, there's no theft in Disneyland!  He was really bumbed.

I took Paizley through Minnie's house.  I didn't realize that she would actually be there at the end.  When we walked out into the backyard and she was there Paizley about died.  When it was her turn she ran up to Minnie and hugged her like that for twenty seconds without letting go

One of the last things we did was get the kids first visit badges.  I know it's technically Xander's second but whatev we got him one anyway.

 

That night we stayed to see the fireworks.  Paizley only made it about halfway through and fell asleep on Steven's shoulder.  It was a long day for everyone.
