Off and on Paizley has been having trouble with wetting her pants. I thought she was just being busy and waiting too long to go. The other night she wet the bed and when I was helping her change out of her wet clothes I noticed that her urine really smelled. She went a little more in the toilet and it looked cloudy to me. I started to get nervous that she had a urinary tract infection. They have home tests that you can do now. I had one from a previous bout so I pulled it out and tested her. The sticks have two pads on them, one for Lucites and the other for nitrates. The Lucite one turned dark purple but the other one was negative. I didn't know what that was suppose to mean so I made an appointment for the pediatrician the next day.
They also tested her pee and said it didn't look like she had an infection. The doctor decided she needed an x-ray, Bah! Luckily they have one in their office and they determined that she is constipated. I was given a sweet ten day Exlax, Miralax regimen to clean her out. I'm glad I'm not the one home with her during the day because it sounds like it's going to be tons of fun.

The Crap Holiday
I always get irritated when people complain about the commercialization of Christmas, come on people you spend what you want to spend. I love the holidays, something about the spirit, lights and getting people gifts. It is so fun to watch someone open and enjoy a gift that you spent time finding. I guess it's a little ironic that I hate Valentines day because my argument for it is basically the same. I don't feel that Steven should be forced to get me stuff and be romantic just because the calendar says he should. It means so much more when it is spontaneous. Needless to say we tend not to celebrate it.
At work someone had the bright idea to have a Valentine's day box contest like w are in 1st grade. I was ticked that they only gave us two days notice so of course at eight the night before I was cranking out my box (who am I kidding it wouldn't have mattered how much time I had I still would have been doing it the night before....procrastination is the name of the game!)
Speaking of procrastination we didn't get to the store to get Xander Valentines for his class so we went to Walmart after our weekly Wednesday night at Trafalga. Holy crapola there were three million people there and only Disney princess Valentines left. Xander was not thrilled so Steven bought some super hero stickers and they put them over the faces of the princesses. Parents of the year I tell you.
My box didn't end up winning any awards but I think it turned out cute for twenty minutes of bad attitude crafting.

Shoot Me In The Head
I'm once again adjusting my attitude and recommiting to blogging every day. We had a pretty sweet flu bug at our house and were seriously sick for almost a month. Now that everyone is feeling better hopefully we can get back on a semi-normal schedule.
p.s. spell check isn't working again so don't judge me!

Birthday Buddies - Or Xander Turns Eight
I can't belive Xander Harrison is eight years old. We celebrated in Idaho at my parents house. My mom wanted everyone to get together for a family photo before all my creepy siblings start moving away this year.
The fun of Cub Scouts is starting. My mom got him a scarf and a hat. Joy.
Heidi and Nate gave him a cootie game. I remember playing this all the time when I was a kid.

Hailey ever the crafter made him a magic kit complete with a home made hat.
There was a rather lage goat present for the festivites
Steven and I relented and got him a new helicopter. He received one last year for christmas, but after repeatly being bounced off the ceiling it broke.
