#51 - See Temple Square Lights In December

December 8th was a pretty busy day, not only was it our anniversary but it was sweet Bethanie's birthday.  Laron and Laura were gracious enough to include us in her celebration.  We let balloons go and ate angel food cupcakes at the cemetery.  It was a very sweet experience to remember a little girl who barely got to live.  There were some tears and some laughter but overall there was a great feeling of love. I'm sure Bethanie was there with us.

After the cemetery we decided to go downtown to see the lights at Temple Square.  The Utah county extension of Frontrunner was opening that weekend and if you brought cans of food for the Utah food bank you could ride it for free.  Even though it was cold we bundled up and drove over to the American Fork station.

The train was really crowded.  It was standing room only and everyone had to get super cozy.

We arrived at the Lehi station and then ended up sitting there for almost 25 minutes.  We got very close to bailing several times but held on and after that the stops were only a couple of minutes at each station.

After we got off Frontrunner we transferred to Trax in the free ride zone over to Temple Square

I think it's cool how you can tell it's snowing in these pictures

The reflection pool.  I love how they do the floating candles

The trip home was much less eventful and we made it in plenty of time for Steven to make it to work.  He was pretty tired the next day but I think it was worth it.
