This post actually consists of two different trips, but I'm melding them into one. A couple of months ago Laura called me and said they were thinking of going up American Fork canyon to have a BBQ that Sunday because it was stake conference. We decided to tag along and it was really fun. Laura said it best, it's like camping with out all the hassle and mess and you get to sleep in your own bed at the end! This is one of the great things about Utah, there are tons of great get aways like this twenty minutes from our house. My favorite part was after 30 minutes of driving up and down the canyon looking for a site to have our picnic, we spotted one and Steven and Ellie jumped out of the van, ran across traffic, down a hill and hurdled the river to claim our spot.
